FEATURING DR. STACY DE-LIN – The United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently recommended a pause on deployment of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine in light of a handful of cases of severe blood clots among those who had received the shot. Some European nations have similarly paused use of the Astra Zeneca vaccine after reports of rare blood clots. Both vaccines rely on a similar technology. The news comes as Covid infections in some states are starting to rise alarmingly even as vaccination rates are climbing and more than half of U.S. adults have received at least one vaccine dose.
