American Rescue Plan Could Help Black Farmers

FEATURING JOHN BOYD – The newly passed American Rescue Plan, voted on by no Republicans, and signed in to law by President Joe Biden, is a whopping $1.9 trillion relief bill aimed at the financial pain caused by the coronavirus pandemic. But the bill has numerous provisions that have a longer term goal. One such provision is billions of dollars set aside to assist Black farmers and farmers of color. Black farmers in particular are a historically marginalized group that have lost some 90% of their land over the past century.
