Billionaires Splurge on Space Joy Rides

FEATURING IRIT TAMIR - On Tuesday Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos, the world’s wealthiest man, took a 10-minute joyride more than 60 miles into space on a rocket that his company had helped to build and upon landing, exclaimed, “best day ever!” Bezos’s space adventure came days after billionaire Richard Branson flew a rocket plane 50,000 feet into the air and before Tesla founder and billionaire Elon Musk plans a similar trip. While the three wealthy white men are gushing in what their billions can bring them, Oxfam this month released a grim new report finding that wars, the pandemic, and the climate crisis are killing 11 people a minute the world over.
