Ending White Supremacy

FEATURING STEVE PHILLIPS - The shooting of a 16-year old Black child named Ralph Yarl by an 84-year-old white man named Andrew Lester in Kansas City, Missouri, has renewed calls for gun control and revoking so-called “Stand your ground” laws. But it also brings up the question of violent white supremacist backlash to an increasingly diverse nation.

More than 7 years ago, writer and thinker Steve Phillips was among the first to tackle this issue in his book Brown is the New White: How the Demographic Revolution Has Created a New American Majority, which became a bestseller.

Phillips’ new book is called How We Win the Civil War: Securing a Multiracial Democracy and Ending White Supremacy for Good.
