How Big Tech CEOs Fared In Congressional Hearing

FEATURING JESSICA J. GONZÁLEZ – The CEOs of the four big tech companies attended a digital hearing on Wednesday, appearing together for the first time in front of lawmakers. Sundar Pichai of Google, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, Jeff Bezos of Amazon, and Tim Cook of Apple, attempted to make the case that they were not monopolies. Fearful of any government regulation, the CEOs claimed that they face stiff competition from other companies. Tech companies, in addition to increasingly setting their own terms for peer-to-peer communication, advertising, and retail markets, face opposition from both the left and the right—not always for the same reasons.
