Maya Jupiter’s New Song Asks Us to “Say Her Name”

FEATURING MAYA JUPITER – Los Angeles based rapper and activist Maya Jupiter has a new song out called Madre Tierra in which she expresses the strength and resilience of women and links it to the earth. The Mexican-Turkish singer who was born in La Paz, Mexico, and raised in Sydney, Australia, lives today with her partner Aloe Blacc – an acclaimed singer/songwriter himself – and her children, in Southern California.

In Madre Tierra, Jupiter invokes internationally known female activists like Malala Yousafzai and Vandana Shiva, to American heroes like Angela Davis.
