FEATURING ABIGAIL DILLEN – The Senate confirmation of Scott Pruitt to head the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has been denounced by most major organizations working to curb pollution and climate change. Pruitt, who was Oklahoma’s State Attorney General, is considered one of the “leading advocates against the EPA,” with multiple lawsuits against the agency he will now lead. Mr. Pruitt also has numerous ties to the fossil fuel industry that ought to raise serious questions about conflicts of interest. What does it mean to have a man at the helm of an agency that he has vowed to “get rid of”?
