FEATURING TAMI HAMADA WORONOFF – Organizers estimate that more than 125,000 people marched in 200 communities around the world on Saturday April 15th to demand, among other things, that Donald Trump release his tax returns. Indicating that he was paying attention, the President tweeted defensively on Sunday, “I did what was an almost an impossible thing to do for a Republican-easily won the Electoral College! Now Tax Returns are brought up again?” He added in a second tweet, “Someone should look into who paid for the small organized rallies yesterday. The election is over!”

Meanwhile, in Berkeley, California, a violent clash took place between white supremacist and neo-Nazi elements of those supporting Trump, and black-clad leftist protesters calling themselves anti-fascist. More than a dozen people were arrested and nearly two dozen injured. A video of a known white supremacist man punching a woman in the face at the so-called Patriot’s Day protest has gone viral.

In Washington DC, tens of thousands of people gathered at the main focal point of the national marches. Representative Maxine Waters was among a star-studded line-up of guests. Here in Los Angeles, California, where this program is based, tens of thousands of people gathered for the tax day marches, making it one of the largest in the nation. Today, on the day taxes are due, we bring you a special report from that march, which focused on tax justice in addition to Trump’s tax returns.
