The End of Roe? How it Happened and What’s Next

FEATURING AMY LITTLEFIELD - The United States Supreme Court has indicated that it is leaning strongly toward ruling in favor of an abortion ban in Mississippi. Of the six conservative justices on the nation’s highest court, three have been appointed by former President Donald Trump, tipping the balance against reproductive justice.

In allowing the Mississippi ban to stand, which the majority seems inclined to do, justices will necessarily undermine the constitutional right to an abortion, even as a new Morning Consult/Politico poll showing that a majority of Americans supports the right to an abortion. Troublingly, that same poll found that few Americans have heard of the serious threat to the Roe V. Wade precedent.
