Three Quarters of a Million People Showed Up For Women’s March in Los Angeles

SPECIAL REPORT BY SONALI KOLHATKAR – On Saturday January 21st, people in hundreds of cities around the country and the world marched against the presidency of Donald Trump. The Women’s Marches were a powerful opening salvo to the billionaire businessman’s tenure, sending a strong message of resistance. Among the cities participating in the marches was Los Angeles, where this program is based. An estimated three quarters of a million people gathered in downtown LA, making it one of the largest national demonstrations. The Rising Up crew was in front of LA City Hall and spoke with a number of people who were there.
