Trump Goes After New York Over Sanctuary Policy

FEATURING ANU JOSHI – New York Governor Andrew Cuomo met with President Trump on Thursday to negotiate a resumption of the “trusted travelers” programs that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had recently suspended in his state. In a letter to New York State officials, acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf said that the move was in direct response to the recent passage of the Driver’s License Access and Privacy Act in New York. The law allows undocumented immigrants the right to obtain legal drivers licenses and protects their identity from the federal government.
