War: The Afterparty; A Global Walkabout Through a Half-Century of US Military Interventions

FEATURING BRIAN GRUBER – Most of us Americans live our lives relatively cut off from what our military does in other countries. In only a few wars – Vietnam, Iraq – have repercussions really been felt here at home. But for the populations of the scores of countries that we have intervened in militarily, news has always been viewed through the lens of “American interests.”

What has been the aftermath of our interference? One journalist took a bit of a world tour to find out. His journey led him through the Central American nations of Guatemala, Nicaragua and Panama, to Serbia and Indochina, and to Afghanistan and Iraq.

Brian Gruber, media consultant, producer, journalist and author. His new book is called War: The Afterparty; A Global Walkabout Through a Half-Century of US Military Interventions.
