What It Was Like to Be in the Nation’s Capital This Weekend

FEATURING CHENJERAI KUMANYIKA – The world’s focus was on Washington DC over the past weekend, with the inauguration of the unlikeliest of figures to the presidency of the world’s most politically and economically powerful nation. On Friday January 20th, actions under the banner of DisruptJ20, called for a general strike and various forms of disruption to the inauguration festivities. A day later, half a million people marched on the streets of the capital in the Women’s March. Our correspondent Chenjerai Kumayika was there and now joins us for a report back.
