What’s Next A Year After Trump Pulled Out of Paris Accord?

FEATURING THANU YAKUPITIYAGE – Ellicott City near Baltimore in Maryland was hit with torrential rains and flash floods last week. It was the second time in 2 years

It has been a year since Donald Trump pulled the US out of the Paris Accord, which was the December 2015 international agreement reached at the United Nation’s COP23 meeting in France during Obama’s Presidency. Trump, who has a history of being a climate change denialist, rewarded the oil and gas industry with his decision to leave the accord.

But local authorities including states and cities, rose to the occasion saying they would work to keep the US’s commitment to the Paris Accord even if the federal government didn’t.
