FEATURING DEENA STRYKER – Commercial airlines have just been ok’d for direct flights from 10 US cities to Cuba – a historic occurrence in light of the recent warming of relations between the two countries. Today we’ll speak with a woman who was in Cuba more than 50 years ago to document the struggles of the Cuban revolution. While there, she interviewed many of the major players including Fidel Castro and his brother and current President Raul Castro, Che Guevara, Celia Sanchez and others. The diary she wrote while there took many years to publish.
