FEATURING HEATHER LOWE – The release of the Panama Papers revealed the seriousness of how wealthy elites steal money from all of us. But tax dodging and the use of offshore tax havens is hardly a new phenomenon. Tax justice activists hope that the publicity from the Panama Papers will shine a light on the uneven playing field. On Friday, several experts testified to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) urging the agency to adopt a new rule that would require US corporations to disclose country by country profits and taxes.
