After Years Long Hiatus, US Resumes Bombing Libya

FEATURING VIJAY PRASHAD – The US has just begun bombing the North African country of Libya. Of course it was only 5 years ago that the US along with NATO, deposed and killed long-time Libyan dictator Moammar Qaddafi, leaving the nation in ruins. In fact President Obama had admitted that the worst mistake of his tenure was, “failing to plan for the day after… intervening in Libya.”
Now, with the Islamic State as a new target, the US has resumed bombing. Meanwhile, a car bomb in the Libyan city of Benghazi just detonated, killing 22 people.
