FEATURING IMAM FEISAL ABDUL RAUF – A white nationalist group held a meeting in Washington DC this week to celebrate Donald Trump’s electoral college win and declare their brand of white identity politics as normalized. A speech by the white supremacist leader Richard Spencer was followed by Nazi-salute-like cheers of “Hail Trump, hail our people, hail victory.”
Spencer said clearly, “America was, until this last generation, a white country designed for ourselves and our posterity. It is our creation, it is our inheritance, and it belongs to us.” The so-called “Alt-Right” group is part of a community that has deep ties to President elect Trump. Not only do Jewish Americans have much to worry about with this political development, but especially Muslim Americans, who have been put on notice by Trump throughout his campaign.
Trump has spoken multiple times about creating some sort of registry of Muslim Americans. His top pick for the Department of Homeland Security, Kris Kobach, has indicated he will pursue such a registry. Are Muslims the new Jews in a country moving toward fascism?
