Among them is a new book by writer Brendan O’Connor that distinctly makes the links between the resurgent white supremacist movement backing Trump and a fiscal conservatism fueled by billionaire elites. At the same time a resurgent left rooted in movements outside the Democratic Party is taking hold and is a critical piece of the historical backdrop to Trump and Trumpism.
