FEATURING ARSALAN BUKHARI – A horrific hanging of a Black Muslim teen in Washington State has slowly started to break into the media. Eighteen-year old Ben Mousa Keita, was reported missing from his home in Lake Stevens on November 27th of 2016. His body was found more than a month later, on January 9th, hanging off a branch 50 feet high off. Initially the medical examiner ruled the death a suicide but after Keita’s family pressed, the cause of death was ruled to be “un-determined.”

The Council on American Islamic Relations Washington chapter has urged the FBI to investigate the death, which is disturbingly reminiscent of a lynching. Given the current political climate and the rise in hate crimes, could it be that Keita’s death was a murder and a hate crime?
