FEATURING DARRELL CARRINGTON – Darrell Carrington, a Bernie Sanders delegate, spoke with Rising Up host Sonali Kolhatkar at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on July 25, 2016, Day 1 of the Democratic National Convention.
Meanwhile, as delegates, journalists, and DNC staffers gathered to seal the nomination of Hillary Clinton, thousands of activists, voters, and others gathered outside the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, just as the DNC was kicking off. Demonstrators were relegated behind metal barricades as a heavy police presence kept them at bay from delegates. The gathering was as close to the DNC as possible, just outside the AT&T train station. Several people were arrested attempting to cross the barricades.
