Democracy Awakening: Mass Activist Coalition Descends on DC

FEATURING MARGRETE STRAND – Thousands of people arrived in Washington DC from Philadelphia this week – they have descended onto the state’s capital under the banner of “Democracy Spring,” to kick off a series of sit-ins at Congress. They are joining thousands others for a major 3-day event called Democracy Awakening on April 16-19. What the activists want is a series of pro-democracy reforms including taking the influence of big money out of politics.
