FEATURING ZOE CARPENTER – Thousands of activists from all over the United States gathered in Washington DC last week and over the weekend in a massive multi-day action for strengthening American democracy. But you might not have heard about it at all, if you were only reading the mainstream corporate media.
Despite the fact that a staggering number of people were arrested – on the order of a thousand – there was disproportionately little coverage. The purpose of the gathering was to draw attention to two major issues – campaign finance reform, and voting rights.
