FEATURING AMY GOODMAN – Twenty years ago this year, New York-based Pacifica radio journalist Amy Goodman launched a daily program that rapidly became an institution in public radio and telvision. Today Democracy Now! is heard on more than 1,400 stations worldwide and its executive producer and host Amy Goodman has written a new book marking the 20th anniversary of her extraordinary program. It’s called Democracy Now! Twenty Years Covering the Movements Changing America and she’s now on book tour around the country.

– KFPK event on Thursday April 14th at 7 pm at the Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles, 3300 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90010. Sonali Kolhatkar will be at that event too.
– KPFA event on Sunday April 17th at 7:30 pm at the First Congregational Church of Berkeley, 2345 Channing Way, Berkeley.
