FEATURING SANGAY K. MISHRA – South Asians form one of the fastest growing segments of the immigrant population in the US. And while there are a few high profile members of the community, by and large little is known about South Asians outside of Hollywood’s stereotypes. After the September 11th attacks, some South Asians began experiencing racial profiling from the public and the government. The community has struggled to become politically active, but part of that struggle comes from divisions within the diaspora.
