Loewen was the bestselling and award-winning author of Lies My Teacher Told Me, Lies Across America, Lies My Teacher Told Me About Christopher Columbus, and Sundown Towns. Loewen was a professor emeritus of sociology at the University of Vermont. His books had a profound impact on host Sonali Kolhatkar's thinking and the last she spoke with him was in 2018 when his book Lies My Teacher Told Me: Everything Your History Textbook Got Wrong, was just republished in a new edition for the Donald Trump era. We present  an edited rebroadcast of that conversation.
