FEATURING RAY LEWIS – Among the thousands of activists that have gathered in Philadelphia to protest at the Democratic National convention, is an unlikely figure – a former police captain. Retired captain Ray Lewis gained national fame when he was arrested as an Occupy Wall Street activist 5 years ago. Since then he has embraced a number of political causes. Rising Up host Sonali Kolhatkar met him outside the DNC in Philly and asked him to discuss poverty and social justice in Philadelphia, his deep disappointment with the Bernie Sanders campaign, the Black Lives Matter movement, and police brutality, among other things.
