FEATURING KANDI MOSSETT – Representatives of more than a hundred countries are expected to sign the United Nations agreement on climate on April 22nd at the UN headquarters in New York. The signing ceremony comes several months after an historic agreement was reached in Paris last December outlining steps that nations have agreed to take to curb climate change.

According to deputy UN spokesman Farhan Haq, “The agreement will enter into force 30 days after at least 55 countries, accounting for 55 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions, deposit their instruments of ratification or acceptance with the secretary-general.” Climate justice activists have denounced the deal as toothless.
