Holiday Announcement

Dear ‘Rising Up with Sonali’ viewers/listeners:

The Rising Up with Sonali crew is taking some much-needed time off from now into January. We’ll be playing some of our best stories from the past year while we’re off so I hope you’ll tune in to the show to listen in.

We’re so proud of the work we’ve done this year, from our coverage of people’s movements across the world and so many under-covered stories that the corporate media missed, to being nominated for several awards by the Los Angeles Press club. For our Southern California audience, our local station KPFK where our show is produced, moved our time slot from 8 am to 4 pm and Nielsen ratings show that we are the highest rated show on our station in that slot.

We continue to air on 30 plus radio stations and on Free Speech TV across the country and we can’t wait to reveal to you some of the exciting plans we have for you for 2020 including our election coverage.

Here’s our schedule for the coming weeks:

• Evergreen shows from Dec. 24 – Dec. 27

• New show on Dec. 30

• Evergreen shows between Dec. 31 – Jan. 1

• New show on January 2

• Sonali will be on vacation between January 3 – January 10, so we’ll play evergreen shows.

• We’ll resume our program on January 13, 2020.
