FEATURING NORA BENAVIDEZ - The world’s richest man has made a successful bid to purchase one of the world’s biggest social media platforms. Twitter accepted Elon Musk’s $44 billion cash buyout offer. Musk has supporters and detractors on both sides of the political spectrum. To some, his acquisition is a good thing, to others, not so much.

According to Reuters, “Musk, who calls himself a free speech absolutist, has criticized Twitter's moderation. He wants Twitter's algorithm for prioritizing tweets to be public and objects to giving too much power on the service to corporations that advertise.”

But the group Free Press has said that “Musk’s takeover is a huge step backward for Twitter.”
