Latest Hollywood Diversity Report Gives Industry Low Marks

FEATURING DR. DARNELL HUNT – Just as Americans are gearing up for the 2020 Academy Awards, the annual Hollywood Diversity Report was released and – just as in previous years – the news especially where film directing and writing is concerned, is not good. Hollywood, the heart of film and television story telling in America and the English-speaking world, continues to be dominated by white men in spite of growing diversity among the population. Where lead actors are concerned, some improvement was documented, but people of color and women are still underrepresented compared to white men.
