Martin Schoenhals, anthropologist on the faculty of Appalachian State University. He previously taught at Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University, and the University of Pennsylvania. His earlier books include The Paradox of Power and Intimate Exclusion. His newest book is called Work, Love, and Learning in Utopia: Equality Reimagined.
