FEATURING ROSE AGUILAR – The election has many of us frightened, with good cause. While large parts of the US political landscape could be rewritten after November 8th, the broader struggle for human rights among oppressed communities continues unabated. Nowhere is that struggle more apparent than in Cannon Ball, North Dakota, where an indigenous-led fight to protect the water resources of the Missouri River continues.

Today we take a break from the election coverage to revisit North Dakota and follow up with journalist Rose Aguilar who has been on the front lines as water protectors have been tear gassed, shot with rubber bullets, arrested and charged with felonies to stop the Dakota Access Pipeline.
