FEATURING MICHAEL FRANTI – “After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music,” said Aldous Huxley once. Few are able to put into music the type of soul and meaning we seek in a world where injustice abounds. My guest has made it his life’s mission to speak about societal ills and joys through his music. And on election day in particular, when depression abounds and apathy threatens to drown us, Michael Franti now joins me to remind us that “love will find a way.”

Michael Franti is a highly acclaimed award winning musician and film maker. His 2009 song Say Hey (I Love You) reached multi-platinum status and became a commercial radio favorite. But Franti and his band Spearhead are known for their conscious lyrics and affinity for progressive causes. Franti’s newest album Soulrocker debuted at number 1 on the iTunes Alternative Albums chart.
