Next Climate Meeting Takes Place in Morocco, Tackling Africa’s Challenges

FEATURING LERATO LETEBELE – Global negotiations on climate change did not end with the Paris Accord that emerged out of the COP 21 UN meeting last year. Representatives from all over the world are heading to Marrakech, Morocco in early November for COP 22, the next international meeting to curb global warming.
With this year having been the hottest year on record, COP 22 delegates will put into place important mechanisms for implementing the Paris Accord. And, the choice of a north African host country will have implications for the climate realities of African nations.
