FEATURING WILLIAM SIMPICH – When millions of Californians went to the polls to vote on June 5th of this year, they made a basic assumption that people make about the American electoral system – that their vote will be counted. But, more than a month after the race, many questions remain, most of them tied to the poor training of poll workers and confusing rules, as well as the proper counting of vote-by-mail and provisional ballots. The questions are so serious that there has been at least one lawsuit filed against Secretary of State Alex Padilla.
