‘Rising Up’: ONE MORE PLEDGE DAY

Hi, I’m Sonali Kolhatkar, host and executive producer of ‘Rising Up With Sonali’ – a program funded by KPFK Pacifica Radio in Los Angeles. I’ve been doing this work for more than 16 years, but the last 18 months have proven to be the hardest. Donald Trump and his swamp-filled cronies are accumulating more wealth and destroying our basic protections and rights – all with the support of rightwing lawmakers and his rabid base. This country has never been in more need of clear, focused, analytical and factual information.  That’s what my producer and I strive to do everyday.”

Now, it costs quite a bit of money to run a community radio station even when it do it on the cheap. We need more than $250,000 a month to run the station – or about $365 dollar per hour of airtime.
