Russia Escalates Ukraine War in Massive Attack on Kharkiv

FEATURING PHYLLIS BENNIS - Russian forces have attacked Ukraine’s second largest city Kharkiv, destroying government buildings, an opera house and a concert hall. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky denounced the attack saying, “A missile targeting the central square of a city is open, undisguised terrorism.” Meanwhile, a 40-mile Russian convoy has been heading toward the Ukrainian capital Kiev.

Writing for In These Times, foreign policy expert Phyllis Bennis says, “Right now we need an immediate ceasefire and serious negotiations on broader issues. That means urgent diplomacy — not more military force — to end this war.”
