Seattle Becomes First City to Ban Caste Discrimination

South Asian workers, particularly in the tech industry, and beyond, have experienced caste-based discrimination at the hands of upper-caste Hindus in ways that have been invisible to non-South Asians. Now, activists who passed the Seattle ordinance hope to replicate their success in other cities.
