FEATURING THANU YAKUPITIYAGE – It has been five years since world leaders gathered in Paris, France for the COP 21 UN Climate meeting and reached an agreement that, by global standards, was considered historic.
The Obama administration hailed the Paris Accord and signed the United States on, along with most of the world’s nations. A year later Donald Trump won the presidency and among his earliest acts was to pull the US out of the Paris Accord.
