FEATURING ILYSE HOGUE – Internal memos from Supreme Court justice Brett Kavanaugh to his fellow justices recently revealed that he wanted the court to not rule on a Louisiana abortion case so as to avoid making justices’ positions on abortion public. Kavanaugh is one of several anti-abortion Supreme Court justices in an institution where a handful of people are constantly being asked to adjudicate a woman’s right to control her own reproductive organs.
Now, President of NARAL Pro-Choice America Ilyse Hogue calls out what she calls “The Lie that Binds” in a new book about the history of how abortion came to be so politicized and what the religious right’s endgame is.
