Indigenous “water protectors” led an impressive fight against massive fossil fuel interests at the helm of environmentalists, veterans, labor organizers, and others expressing solidarity against the pipeline.
Now, after Donald Trump approved the pipeline project, lawyers associated with the President are representing the pipeline company Energy Transfer Partners in a $300 million “racketeering” lawsuit against environmental organizations like Greenpeace for losing them billions of dollars in business.
