FEATURING COURTNEY MORRIS – Donald Trump, during a rambling 90 minute campaign speech for a fellow Republican last Friday decided to blow up the controversy of former NFL player Colin Kaepernick refusing to stand during the national anthem last year and several other athletes following suit in solidarity. Trump said, “Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a bitch off the field right now, out, he’s fired. He’s fired!'”
Trump then followed his tirade with a series of tweets that continued until at least Monday morning. But many Americans including NFL officials and players weren’t having it.
