But this year, with former president Trump raring to make a comeback and Republicans spreading misinformation in order to regain political power, it seems like November 8, 2022 may be the most important midterm election of our modern era. Magazine, my colleague Chris Winters explains that, “a huge number of Republican candidates for key statewide offices, including those overseeing elections, are ‘election deniers’ who deny that President Joe Biden won the 2020 election, or insist without evidence that he won only because of fraud.”
