FEATURING STEVEN ROSENFELD – Reports from one of the largest voting districts on Super Tuesday – Los Angeles, California – suggest that exercising one’s civic duty was a multi-hour process. Despite spending hundreds of millions of dollars on new electronic voting machines, LA polling places had numerous glitches, resulting in the long wait times. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders’ campaign night filed for an emergency injunction to keep polling places open past 8 pm giving voters time to get into the booths to cast their ballots.

On the state level, California’s immense population and new changes to voting, means that official results will still be days or even weeks away.
