FEATURING KHURY PETERSEN-SMITH – President Joe Biden on Thursday addressed staff at the United States State Department, an agency that like others under the Trump administration, was left demoralized and understaffed. Speaking directly to State Department employees Biden promised to restore America’s reputation globally.
The speech was given on the heels of a major foreign policy decision to end U.S. support for the devastating Saudi war in Yemen. Biden is not known for his dovish policies, but knows there remains little appetite for new or old wars among Americans.
