FEATURING ELLEN BRAVO – On Wednesday March 8, International Women’s Day, untold numbers of women around the country and the world went on strike to emphasize the role that women play in our society and the hard work that still remains for full equality and rights. Here in the US, with the era of Donald Trump, a known misogynist, the struggle for women’s rights remains dire.
Hundreds of women workers gathered outside the US Department of Labor on Wednesday including domestic workers, restaurant workers, Walmart workers, nurses, garment workers, union members, and more. They mobilized under the banner of #WomenWorkersRising.
