FEATURING ZAHRA BILLOO – – Within hours of the attacks in Brussels, Republican Presidential candidate Ted Cruz released a statement saying, “We need to empower law enforcement to patrol and secure Muslim neighborhoods before they become radicalized.” Some wondered if Cruz was trying to outdo his rival Donald Trump in Islamophobia.

But every time there is a terrorist attack by a radicalized person or group of people claiming to be Muslim, the Muslim community is demonized.
