FEATURING JEREMY SCAHILL – The Intercept, the online investigative news site founded by Glenn Greenwald, Laura Poitras, and Jeremy Scahill, last fall, published The Drone Papers, which were a series of classified slides leaked to them by an anonymous whistleblower. The papers detailed for the first time how individuals are determined by the military to be designated for death by unmanned drone bombings, and how the so-called kill list is personally overseen by President Obama. The bombshell revelations are detailed in a new book overseen by Jeremy Scahill called The Assassination Complex: Inside the Government’s Secret Drone Warfare Program. The book includes chapters by NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden as well as the unnamed source of the Drone Papers, and other journalists with the Intercept who analyzed the papers.
