FEATURING GENNA REED – The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) just released the text of a new rule that would make it easier for industries to pollute our air, water, and soil. The proposed rule dramatically restricts the type of scientific data that could be used in decision making to shape regulations.
The move, overseen by EPA chair Andrew Wheeler – a former coal lobbyist – is the latest battle in the Trump administration’s war on science. The rule is so far-reaching that it would retroactively undermine the science of how pollutants like lead and mercury impact human health.
